Southern Shine Crawl
May 31st-June 2nd, 2019 / Evarts, KY 

The Harlan County Outdoor Recreation Board will be teaming up with the Kentucky Mountain Crawlers and the East Coast Off Road Racing Series for this years Southern Shine Crawl.

As a group, for anyone interested in going for just a day trip we will meet at the Hardee’s in Pennington Gap, VA at 8:30am on Saturday June 1st.

By popular vote at the club meeting, we determined that a fixed ride weekend works best for everyone. So we’ve negotiated that the 4th weekend of each month will be a club event, unless it falls on a holiday or something like that where we need to adjust. So mark your calendars!

Starting at 5pm on Sat April 27, 2019. Location is at Clint’s House. We’ll cook some burgers and stuff up for our meeting, and weather permitting we will light up one of the bonfires up on the farm!

Spearhead St Paul

We will be meeting at Food Country on Rt 19 in Abingdon at 7:45am. Leaving from Food Country at 8:00am, Heading to St Paul. We will meet at the Hardee’s in St Paul roughly at 9:00am and head from there up to the trail head. We have about a 45+ mile route mapped out that will accommodate all riders and their abilities. Come out and ride with us should be a real good time…

Lets Go Riding!!!

There are a couple different groups heading over to Spear Head St. Paul on Saturday the 19th, and have invited us to go with them. This is an open ride (Not Designated Club Ride) for any and all participants. This would be a good opportunity for A.O.R.C. members to get to know other folks in our community of shared interests, maybe get a few new active members to our club. Any one wanting to go can contact me via text, phone, or Facebook. As soon as I have all the details I will post them, for Abingdon meeting spot as well as St. Paul and Trail Head meeting spots.

On Dec 29, 2018 we’re hosting the annual club Christmas party at Clint’s house in Abingdon. Start time is 6:00pm. Hope to see everyone there!

Making a multi-day trip and getting a cabin for the group on the Putney side. Coordinate with <deleted_user> if you want to come so we make sure to have a cabin large enough!

We’re making a mixed (ATV/UTV/Jeep/Truck) run to Harlan on 9-22-18. We will meet at the Valero next to the Pinnacle in Bristol at 8:30am.
