I have slowly started on my 1993 jeep cherokee country edition. I got this thing dirt cheap from where I work, its got close to 230,000 miles on it but has a fairly fresh 4.0 crate engine. The hunk runs and drives pretty good for the kind of miles it has. So far I have scapped the fender flares front and rear, cut the front fender off even with the turn signal and trimmed a little off behind the front wheel. Also scrapped the inner fenders. I cut and folded the rear and scrapped the inner fender there as well. All that just to clear 31s kinda sad. I have also changed the steering wheel and have removed all the hood latch hardware to make room for hood pins. All the latch parts were rusted beyond repair. I have got a sway bar bushing kit orderd should be here in a couple days. My plans for this heap are to install a 4.5 inch rubicon express superflex kit, lockers front and rear, custom bumpers and sliders, would eventually like to run a 33. The transfer case is gonna get rebuilt this summer and will include sye and new driveshafts. For right now I'm gonna wheel it like I stole it and build as i get the funds. If anyone has any parts for one of these layin around let me know. |
